“Did you see Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag?” Canelo tweeted.
“He better pray to God that I don’t find him,” Canelo threatened.
“As much as I respect Argentina. He should respect Mexico!” he insisted.
“I’m not talking about the whole country, only about the bullshit that Messi is doing,” Canelo said. Suddenly, the Argentinian fans tried to defend Messi and attacked Canelo through his tweet.

“He [Canelo] just wants attention since he is no longer relevant. To be honest, I never heard of him until now,” wrote one fan.
“He obviously took his shoes off,” tweeted another Argentina fan.

The funny thing is, the Mexican fans themselves did not agree with Canelo’s allegations because they all saw Messi only taking off his shoes, not using the uniform or the Mexican flag as a doormat.
