Henry Cavill posted on his social media that he would return as Superman after making a cameo in the Black Adam post-credits starring Dwayne Johnson. He admitted that he had waited before telling the news.

Henry Cavill Superman Is Back in the Scene Again
“I waited until the weekend was over before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to see Black Adam. But now that some of you have seen it, I want to make it official: I’m back as Superman,” he said on Instagram.
He also explained that his brief appearance in Black Adam is only a small part of what DC fans will witness. The 39-year-old actor did not provide a more detailed explanation, including the issue of Man of Steel 2, which was also widely discussed recently.

He chose to thank the fans for always supporting him and enthusiastically welcoming him back to being the hero of Krypton.

Since appearing in Man of Steel (2013), Henry Cavill has been synonymous with Superman. He was also trusted to play this role in several films ranging from Batman v Superman to Justice League. The plan for Man of Steel 2 is said to be one of the DCEU‘s flagship films in the future.
But there is some bad news for this project. DC producer who has long taken part in adaptation projects, namely Charles Roven, is reportedly not going to join the Man of Steel 2 project. In addition, until now the project has not had a director and Warner Bros. Discovery is working hard to find the right person. Currently the name Christopher McQuarrie is on the list.
